Jalapeño Poppers

Super Bowl LV – Jalapeño Poppers #myhusbandusuallycooks #mysignaturedish

Ingredients

  • 10-12 medium Jalapeños (sliced lengthwise and seeded)
  • 1.5 cups Pepper-jack cheese (shredded)
  • 1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 8 oz Cream cheese (softened)
  • 8-10 slices of cooked bacon (diced)

Instructions

  • Slice and deseed jalapeños (a spoon works great! Be sure to wash your hands after…jalapeño residue is no joke) Place onto cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Mix pepper-jack, mozzarella and cream cheese with diced bacon (a fork helps separate the cream cheese for better mixing)
  • Fill jalapeños with cheese mixture (you might have some left based on the size of jalapeños. If you do they make a great pinwheel!)
  • Refrigerate jalapeños poppers for one hour (cover with plastic wrap)
  • Preheat over to 350 and cook for 15 minutes on center rack (oven temps may vary based on location/elevation)
  • Broil on high until golden brown on top
  • Optional: Sriracha ranch dipping sauce = 3 parts ranch and 1 part sriracha (mix well)
